A MAN who broke a window on a parked car has been given a five-month sentence after a court heard his DNA matched one taken from blood found in the vehicle.
Barry Norton, with an address at Shancastle Avenue, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty at Blanchardstown District Court to criminal damage at Ashley Hall, Lucan on August 17, 2019.

Judge Gerard Jones made the five months concurrent to an existing prison sentence.
Sergeant Maria Callaghan said the car’s back window was smashed and a sample was taken from blood found on the rear seat.
DNA matched the accused, who was arrested and charged, she said.
