18,850 people visited Tallaght Library during first two months of year

THERE was a 25 per cent increase in visitors to Tallaght Library this January and February, compared to the same time period last year.

A total of 18,850 people visited Tallaght Library last February and 85 events took place in Tallaght Library that month, spanning a number of different topics.

March was also a busy month for the library, with events covering International Women’s Day, Astronomy Week, and a World Book Day Story Time being held for the community.

Castletymon Library had 5,079 visitors last February, borrowing almost 2,981 items and adding 91 new members.

A total of 57 events were held in the library in Castletymon in February, with 562 people attending.

In February, 5,293 people availed of the Mobile Library Service and 95 home deliveries were made to housebound patrons.

Looking ahead, the library service detailed events that are expected to take place this month, including Poetry Day Ireland events, computer classes and a Healthy Eating Made Easy workshop.
