JAILED: It was reported in last week’s Ballyfermot edition of the Echo that a father of two who punched a 72-year-old woman on her way home from Mass had been jailed for two-and-a-half years. Read more HERE

BEEP IN THE NIGHT: Meanwhile, the news that a beeping traffic signal at a pedestrian crossing in Ballyfermot was keeping residents awake at night brought about some ‘interesting’ comments and suggestions on facebook. Read more HERE
