Tallaght man accused of dealing in €25k worth of cocaine and cannabis remanded on bail

A MAN accused of dealing in nearly €25,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis has been remanded on bail by Tallaght Court for DPP’s directions.

Anthony Clarke appeared on bail before Judge Patricia McNamara.

Clarke, aged 44, with an address at Killinarden Estate, Tallaght, is charged with simple possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for sale or supply, simple possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis for sale or supply at the above address on March 22, 2016.

The court heard it will be alleged that Clarke and a co-accused were found in possession of cocaine worth €23,000 and cannabis worth €1,299.

A Garda told the court that directions were not available. He asked for 12 weeks.

Clarke’s solicitor, John O’Leary, consented to the application.

Judge McNamara remanded Clarke on continuing bail to a date in September for DPP’s directions.

As part of his bail, Clarke is to have no contact with his co-accused.
