Aalto Bio Reagents secure awards at National Small Business event
RATHFARNHAM based company Aalto Bio Reagents picked up two awards at the SFA National Small Business Award 2017.
The global medical device manufactures won Innovator of the Year and Small Business Exporter of the Year at a gala ceremony.
Located in Rathfarnham Village, Aalto Bio Reagents was founded in 1978 and is firmly established as a leading manufacturer and provider of raw materials to the in-vitro diagnostics industry and research laboratories globally.
They supply the largest multinational companies in the industry with a broad range of purified human proteins, monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, fungal, parasitic, bacterial and viral antigens, as well as disease state plasma for in-vitro diagnostic applications.
The company are rapidly expanding both their product portfolio and customer base through a continuous programme of new product development in response to emerging disease outbreaks and industry developments.
Minister for Employment and Small Business, Pat Breen, presented awards to winners in seven categories on the night.
“All the nominees and category winners have shown great drive and pride in their business,” said Minister Breen.
“Looking at the fantastic success of past winners and nominees, the future is very bright for tonight’s contestants and the Irish business environment.”
