Almost €7m paid out last year on private agency hospital staff
Figures released by the Department of Health show that almost €7 million was spent on private agency staffing across Tallaght’s University Hospital and National Children’s Hospital Tallaght in 2024.
The figures released to Sinn Féin health spokesperson, David Cullinane TD, show that €4.76m was spent on agency staff at TUH, while €2.12m was spent on staffing NCH Tallaght last year, totalling €6.88m.
