August Team of the Month: St Kevin’s Kilian’s GAA Ladies Team

St Kevin’s Kilian’s senior ladies football team overcame two previous final disappointments to secure the Dublin LGFA Junior J Club Championship when they overcame St Mary’s from Saggart by four points.
After losing out to Cuala in 2023 (after extra-time) and Geraldine P Moran in 2022, the Kilnamanagh/Kingswood side made it third time lucky to secure the championship crown.
The side has enjoyed success this year having already secured the league crown, having gone unbeaten, and are still in the running for the cup competition.
“Yes it was third time lucky for our side. We had lost the previous two finals, so we are absolutely thrilled to have gotten over the line this year,” said St Kevin’s Kilian’s captain Carol O’Donnell.
“It was a great team effort, and I’m really thrilled for all the players involved and coaches.
“We are very lucky this year that we had some U16s, and minors and the future of the club looks really good,” added Carol.
