Local Men's Sheds groups were joined by groups from as far away as Dunleer, as they entertained the crowd with a lively set of tunes.

In a wide ranging talk on men's mental health, guest speaker and holistic gardener Fiann Ó Nualláin addressed the crowd on both the physical and mental  benefits of gardening, nature, and volunteering.

The council also unveiled a Ballyfermot Area Office community team initiative, the Ballyfermot Bright Bike Scheme, whereby abandoned bikes are sourced from the gardai, imaginatively painted and decorated by the Resource Centre Men’s Sheds to brighten up the area.
