Ballyfermot premises among those searched by CAB in raids this morning
Gardai raided premises in areas including Ballyfermot this morning as part of operations by the Criminal Assets Bureau.
CAB carried out the searches in the Ballyfermot, Finglas, Ballyboughal areas of Dublin and in Courtown in Wexford.
During the course of these searches a horsebox was seized together with assorted items of jewellery and documents.
A Garda spokesperson also said a freezing order was issued under Section 17(1) of the Criminal Justice Act (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act, 2010 on a substantial amount of cash in a financial institution.
Investigations are continuing.
