Case made to repatriate Earl of Lucan remains to home town

THE LOCATION of the remains of Patrick Sarsfield, the First Earl of Lucan, has been triangulated to a burial site in Belgium, some 330 years after his death, reports Hayden Moore.

It is hoped that following an archaeological excavation of a former church site in Huy, Belgium, the remains of Patrick Sarsfield can be repatriated back to Lucan.
