Confidence in harm-reduction response to heroin ‘bad batch’

THE coordinator of the Tallaght Drug and Alcohol Task Force (TDATF) has voiced her confidence in the harm-reduction response to a recent ‘bad’ batch of heroin – but said she is concerned if local drug projects will be able to cope if there is a fentanyl epidemic.

As reported in The Echo last week, there were three reported overdoses in the local community within the space of 60 hours – one of which was fatal – linked to a bad batch of heroin.
