Council gives go-ahead for restaurant and café development with drive-thru
By Laura Lyne
A RESTAURANT and café development with a drive-thru that is proposed for a site located between the Arc Bar and Liffey Valley motor mall has been approved by South Dublin County Council, reports Laura Lyne.
The development is for four detached single-storey restaurant and café units, with provision for the units to include drive-thru facilities.
Parking for 79 cars, which includes nine spaces for electrical cars, and 11 bicycles, is part of the application.
A number of submissions were made on the application, with concerns raised about the increase in traffic and a concern from the owner of an adjoining site that recently received permission to develop a motor sales outlet about the impact the development will have on their site.
In its grant of permission, South Dublin County Council requested a traffic and parking management plan for during and after construction of the development.
The decision to grant permission was given on May 27.
