Dazzling performance raises over €1,700 for LauraLynn Children’s Hospice
A DAZZLING array of young dancers from Clondalkin and Tallaght took to the stage of Clondalkin’s Coldcut Club and raised over €1,700 for the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.
Dancers from the Boom Variety Stage School, which has classes in Jobstown in Tallaght and in Neilstown and Bawnogue in Clondalkin, filed into the club with their parents for the awards and performance day in aid of LauraLynn.

The school currently has 110 students across its three locations, and over 250 people turned up for the event.
Tom Duffy, the director of the Boom Variety Stage School, told The Echo: “We teach these kids every day of the week, so we wanted to give to a charity that helps children.”
Over €1,700 was raised for the charity through the €5 entry fee that the participants and audience members paid and also as a result of a raffle, with all three books of raffle tickets selling out.
Tom added: “It’s crazy that we raised so much, it felt unbelievable to do that and it’s pretty cool.
“When the kids found out [how much was raised] they were shocked. They were thrilled and over-the-moon to hear that they’d raised that amount.
“It was a huge surprise that we raised that much, I was hoping to raise around €1,000.”
The money will now go to LauraLynn, a charity which provides hospice care for children with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
