Developer seeks go-ahead for 12-unit apartment block

PLANNING permission is being sought for the construction of a 12-unit apartment block on a site to the south of the Old Lucan Road in Palmerstown, reports Aideen O’Flaherty.

Perelisa Management Limited’s proposal includes the demolition of the existing vacant single-storey structure on-site and the associated garage structure to the rear of it.

This is to make way for the construction of a mixed-use development comprising one commercial/retail unit at ground-floor level and 12 residential units.

The residential units comprise six one-bedroom units, three two-bedroom units and three three-bedroom units at upper-floor levels in a four-storey building.

Each apartment will be provided with private amenity space in the form of a balcony/terrace space and communal open space will be provided at ground and roof levels.

A total of 42 internal bicycle-parking spaces are proposed to serve the development as well as six car-parking spaces, including one accessible parking space, at surface level.

The proposed development also includes all associated site and infrastructural works, including foul and surface water drainage, landscaping, boundary treatments, plant room and site lighting.

Also included is bin storage and signage necessary to facilitate the development.

A decision on the application is due from the South Dublin County Council by February 2.
