
€10K will be put to good use by club
A KIDS football club won €10,000, as part of Circle K’s €100,000 giveaway to grassroots football across the Republic of Ireland.
Bluebell Knockmitten United were given the good news by FAI Grassroots Director, Ger McDermott, and Circle K Ireland’s Retail Director of Operations Paul Dixon.
The Clondalkin club cater for young school boys and school girls. Forecourt retailer Circle K are title sponsors of the FAI Club Mark Programme.
Bluebell Knockmitten were congratulated on their win, which came thanks to the support of club members and locals who entered on their behalf.
The club was randomly selected from hundreds of clubs across Ireland, all of whom are still in with a chance to win the grand prize of €30,000, which was announced by draw on December 6.
The Circle K Grassroots Giveaway has seen €70,000 won by clubs across the Republic of Ireland.
The draw is open to any club that is registered for the Circle K FAI Club Mark Programme, which aims to provide clubs with a road map to good governance, and help grow football in communities across the country.
Jimmy McGuirk, Bluebell Knockmitten United Chairman said: “The Circle K FAI Club Mark scheme has been a great help to us in terms of ensuring good governance.
“We’re a tightknit club with an incredible member base, and we’re very grateful to those who nominated us for this competition from Circle K.
