Entrepreneurs and innovators honoured at awards ceremony

PROMISING entrepreneurs in the county have been honoured at the South Dublin County Enterprise Awards, as part of the National Enterprise Awards 2016.
The winners will compete to reach National Enterprise Awards final at the Aviva Stadium in June.
The event was held as part of the Local Enterprise Week, South Dublin, which is aimed at companies that have received Local Enterprise Office supports to aid their growth.
At a ceremony in the South Dublin Local Enterprise Office on March 11, awards were made for South Dublin’s best and most innovative businesses in the county.
First place and overall winner was Dave McGeady, from Wyldsson Elite Nutrition, Tallaght.
Second place went to Darragh Kirby, from Groopeze, Tallaght, and third place went to Daire O’Neill, A5 Technologies, Tallaght.
Most Innovative business was awarded to Acutrace, Nangor Road, Dublin 12.
Des English, of the Local Enterprise Office South Dublin, paid tribute to all applicants and finalists.
Mr English said: “As the first-stop shop for entrepreneurs and small businesses, it is heartening to see a growing and vibrant community of entrepreneurs locally. Judges spoke highly of the standard of the applications received for the County Enterprise Awards, and commended all the finalists.”
Des English of South Dublin LEO, wished Dave McGeady of Wyldsson, the best of luck going forward to the National Enterprise Final in the Aviva Stadium on June 9.
