Gardai appeal for witnesses after early morning assault in Tallaght estate

A male was hospitalised after he was assaulted in a Tallaght estate on Tuesday morning, with Gardai calling on anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

A Garda source has confirmed to Echo.ie that the male was assaulted in the Knockmore area of Killinarden at around 9am.

The incident was witnessed by a number of residents who were making their way to local schools with their children.

Speaking to Echo.ie a Garda source said: “A male was assaulted during the incident and was taken to Tallaght Hospital with injuries.”

The extent of the man’s injuries is not known at this time, and Gardai have asked for anyone with information to contact Tallaght Garda station on 01-6666000.
