Gardai seeking public’s help in reuniting stolen power tools with owners
If you had tools stolen this year you may be in luck as Gardai are seeking to find the owners of new and second hand power tools recovered during a search of a vehicle in May.
During a checkpoint at Stockhole Lane on the Clonshaugh Road, officers stopped a van containing a large amount of new and second hand power tools.
The tools, with an approximate value of up to €26,000, were ultimately seized.
Many of the tools seized are specialised items that Gardai say would most likely only be used by car or heavy goods vehicle mechanics and may have been taken from such garages.
It is believed that some of the tools may have been taken in the UK and Northern Ireland.
If you think you may own some of the property and wish to arrange a viewing please email ballymun_ds@garda.ie or contact Gardai in Ballymun on 01-6664493.
Please note proof of ownership will be required.
