There were no observations or objections to the development submitted ahead of its grant of permission.

Included within the extension will be new patient accommodation, which will incorporate a new renal dialysis unit which includes treatment areas, support rooms and offices.

Also contained in the application granted are two new stairs and lift blocks, with plant rooms, a taxi set-down area, car parking and landscaping works.

The renal dialysis unit will include 28 maintenance haemodialysis service stations, five acute/isolation units for inpatient haemodialysis and four self-care haemodialysis units with home therapies and a plasmapherisis service also included within the unit.
