It’s possible to withstand the strangest of times

THE real estate sector adapted to the pandemic via a number of measures, with businesses like Doran Estates offering virtual viewings and fitting out their Terenure office with perspex screens.

Now that life is slowly returning to normal, Doran Estates Director Bridget-Anne Doran, says the small firm are “inundated with viewing requests”, but working hard to ensure safety for clients and staff

“We have seen that viewers are more curious than ever and ready to place offers. It’s as if the pause button has been lifted,” said Ms Doran.

“We are delighted to see this but as always we will prioritise safety, stagger viewing times and ensure that PPE is available.”

In a timely fashion, Doran Estates have created a new brand image, and updated their website, social media and marketing.

“The decision to rebrand has been in the pipeline over the past few years but we were so busy that we could not dedicate the time to perfecting the new brand identity,” said Ms Doran.

Doran Estates was founded in 2005 by the late Frank Doran from Tallaght, Bridget-Anne’s father.

Bridget-Anne joined the firm 14 years ago and has carried on Franks legacy. Today they employ eight people from their Kimmage Road Lower premises.

“Over the past fifteen years, our steady growth has brought new clients, new teammates, and moved us into our new purpose-built office,” said Bridget-Ann.

“The new identity had to satisfy all of the existing expectations of what our original trademark stood for, while simultaneously moving the brand forward to acknowledge the maturity, accessibility, and excellence of our tailored service.

“The colours within our new logo contain two important meanings. Sea blue has been replaced with a deep navy to reflect our modernisation while maintaining a piece of Frank’s original touch.

The pink represents a feminine touch. I wanted to convey that women in business can succeed I was more than delighted when Three invited me to take part in the 20×20 initiative as it aligned with my own beliefs.

“Although the market appears positive at the moment, I think if anything, this pandemic has instilled is that we cannot predict the future but once you are dynamic and have a strong team working with you it’s possible to withstand the strangest of times.

We would have not made it through this whirlwind of uncertainty without the dedication and passion that each team member has displayed.”
