The 37-year-old appeared in custody before Judge McNamara.

The man, who has an address in Tallaght, is charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a named female at the above address on October 28, 2016.

He is also charged with two counts of sexually assaulting another named female at the same address also on October 28, 2016.

He is also charged with sexually assaulting a third female at the same address on a date unknown between 2012 and 2013.

Garda Odhran Forrest told Judge McNamara that he arrested the defendant at 8.30am that morning. He said the defendant was later charged by Sergeant Liam Healion and he made no response to the five charges.

Garda Forrest said he had no objection to bail. In response to Judge McNamara, Garda Forrest said the DPP had directed trial on indictment.

He asked for a six week remand for service of the book of evidence and asked as condition of bail that the defendant sign on three times a week at Tallaght Garda station, that he have no contact with the alleged injured parties and that he surrender his passport.

The defendant’s counsel, Stephen Montgomery Bl, said his client would be willing to comply with the bail conditions.

Judge McNamara released the man on his own bond of €200 with the above bail conditions and remanded him to a date in March for service of his book of evidence.
