Man due to appear in court in relation to arms seizure in Greenogue

A 28-year-old man is expected to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court later this morning charged in connection with a seizure of firearms and ammunition on the 24th of January, 2017. 

A total of 15 firearms along with 1300 rounds of assorted ammunition and a substantial amount of cash were recovered during a search operation led by members of the Drugs Organised Crime Bureau at Greenogue Industrial Estate, Baldonnel, County Dublin.

The man was arrested in County Wexford on May 7, 2017 and detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a west Dublin Garda Station. (see Press Release Ref 455/’17)

He is the fourth person to be charged in the case. Three men are currently before the courts charged in connection with the investigation.
