Marble Arch fails to sell at auction
By Laura Lyne
THE Bridge House pub in Crumlin sold for €320,000, while the landmark Marble Arch pub in Drimnagh failed to sell at Allsop’s October auction which took place in the RDS last week.
Included in the sale of the Bridge House pub was a 926 sq.ft. vacant two-bedroom apartment – a €3,000 current rent is included with the property, which comes from a licence fee of the advertising hoarding located to the gable end of the property.
Other local properties included a unit located in the Kilnamanagh Shopping Centre, which sold prior to the auction.
The unit, currently occupied by 5th Avenue salon on a 25-year lease from 2007, sold for an undisclosed amount ahead of the auction. It has a rental income of €31,200 per annum, with rent reviews on the property every five years.
An office suite in Kilmainham sold after the auction for an undisclosed amount, and a ground floor retail unit in Inchicore was withdrawn prior to the auction.
The Gate Lodge office building at Chapel Hill in Lucan also failed to sell at auction.
Further details on the local properties that were included in the auction are available at www.allsopireland.ie.
