Picture story – spring has sprung in Citywest
By Mary Dennehy
OVER the past two weeks, Citywest resident Simon Walsh captured these beautful images while out walking in his community.
A former staff member of The Echo, Simon shared a selection of images, which show that spring has definitely sprung in Citywest and the Citywest Business Campus.
“The campus is a great place to walk”, Simon told The Echo.
“The campus do a great job in maintaining the area and in spring, it really comes into its own.
“When you’re passing by in the car you’re only getting a glimpse, but since lockdown we’ve been doing a lot more exploring locally.
“If you’re lucky you can even get a glimpse of the ducks or the swans or both!
“The cherry blossom trees are amazing too, the daffodils have been out for the last few weeks and there’s plenty of tulips around the new housing developments too.
“We’ve always liked taking pictures of flowers and nature in Corkagh Park, especially in the Rose Garden, but with the 2km limit the Citywest Business Campus is a great replacement.
“There is also a great trail that weaves its way through the business campus, with bridges over small streams.”
