Plans to restore Leitrim Lodge to its former use is approved

PLANS for the restoration of Leitrim Lodge and the development of a five-storey apartment block in adjoining lands at Martin’s Row in Chapelizod have been approved by Dublin City Council.

Applicant Infield Developments Ltd submitted their planning application last November, including the demolition of structures on site including a day centre, a workshop, a glasshouse, a steel container and four sheds.

The restoration of Leitrim Lodge to its former use as a four-bed single occupancy residential dwelling with two car parking spaces forms part of the plan.

Construction of a five-storey apartment building with 23 units and associated balconies consisting of 15 duplex units and 8 apartment units.

The residential aspect of the development provides three one-bed units, 16 two-bed units and four three-bed units.

Construction of a bicycle store to provide 64 bicycle spaces and a parking shelter with a landscaped terrace above and 26 car parking spaces at surface level are included.

Widening of the existing access laneway on Church Lane, requiring alteration to porches of existing dwellings and repositioning of a protected wall to 34 Main Street, Chapelizod, forms part of the plans.

Dublin City Council granted permission for the planning application last month.
