Remembering Ellie (11) with Light It Up Gold candlelit walk
“She was full of love and laughter,” said Lorraine Downey as she remembers her niece Ellie, who died at 11 years old shortly after being diagnosed with leukaemia.
The whole of Ellie’s family took part in the “Light It Up Gold” candlelit walk organised by Childhood Cancer Ireland on Saturday, September 14, in Maynooth, to keep the memory of their beloved child alive and to support everyone undergoing treatment at a young age.
