Rohan seeking 10-year planning permission for large warehouse

AN APPLICANT is seeking a 10-year planning permission for the construction of a large warehouse in Cheeverstown, just weeks after applying to construct three warehouses on the same site.

Rohan Project Management Ltd has lodged an application with South Dublin County Council for the proposed development of a warehouse totalling 14,730 sq m gross floor area.

With the council currently considering the proposed development of warehouses labelled Unit 1, Unit 2A/2B, and Unit 3 at the site, this most recent application marks Phase Two of the development to add Unit 4.

Unit 4 will be the largest of all of the units, and is bigger than the entire Phase One proposal which measures out to 13,611sq.m.

Measuring up to 17m in height, with a rear service yard, the warehousing unit will be accessed by two entrances and an internal estate road network connected to a road network currently being considered in the Phase One application.

The new road network is expected to be accessed by two entrances, one located just off the roundabout at Citywest Avenue and the other by the Cheeverstown Road.

Phase Two is seeking to construct 155 car-parking spaces, 72 bicycle-parking spaces, water services infrastructure and a sustainable urban drainage system.

The applicant is also seeking to construct an external sprinkler tank and pump house, with planting and boundary treatments included in the proposal.

The Phase Two planning application was lodged with the council on July 16, with a decision due on September 9.
