Since its founding in 1990, the club has achieved tremendous success on national and regional fronts, with some even going as far as representing Team Ireland at successive World Games.
A spokesperson for South Dublin Special Olympics Sports Club said: “During the pandemic, our Network Volunteers worked tirelessly to keep the athletes engaged with weekly zoom bingo, singalongs and in December organised a Drive-By Santa.
“The coaches made their contribution by giving a zoom Keep Fit class every Saturday morning.
“Now everyone is delighted to be returning to training and meeting their friends.
“We are all looking forward to the future with optimism.”
