St Mark’s haul home ITF Cup medals

ST MARK’S Taekwon-Do School saw the 14 students they fielded in the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) Cup Ireland in Galway pick up some 22 medals.

Taekwon-Do Schools from all over the country attend this competition each year with 150 competitors of all ages competing to win medals in sparring, patterns, power breaking and special technique.

Michael Doyle led the way for the Tallaght club with gold in patterns and power along with silver in sparring.

Among the others who went top of the podium for the Tallaght school were Philomena Mongon, Ken Sweeney, Karen Sweeney while other medal winners were Stephen Wills, James Doyle, Katie Rowan, Hannah Sweeney, Pierce O’Callaghan and Esther Tekasala.
