Strategic approach by council reduced Halloween bonfires

OVER 70 tonnes of bonfire material were collected by Dublin City Council during Halloween, according to a report by the local authority for the Ballyfermot-Drimnagh area.

DCC say the public domain unit took a “strategic, prevention-led approach at the early stages” of preparations for Halloween to reduce the available bonfire materials available for youths to collect.
