THE ECHO has so far raised €3,000 for two local charities, Suzanne House and Tallaght Cancer Support Group during a two-day static cycle challenge last week.

They are now calling on their readers and community to rally round them for the fianl push to reach their €5,000 target.

Founder of The Echo, David Kennedy, said; “We were overwhelmed at the generosity of the community in The Square and Tallaght village last week during our cycle challenge and bucket collection, not only did they put money in the buckets, but the encouragement and [people stopping to] chat was brilliant – the people in our community really are great”.

Through the GoFundMe page and bucket collections The Echo has raised just over €3,000, but is hoping that the community will show their generosity and support and donate to reach the €5,000 target.

David went on to say: “We are delighted with what we have raised so far, but wouldn’t it be great if we could hand over €2,500 to each of these very worthy charities just in time for Christmas.”

To donate you can call into The Echo offices in Tallaght Enterprise Centre, on Main Road, Tallaght, or click on the gofundme page.
