Tributes and thanks to long-time caretaker Tony on retirement

LUCAN Community College paid tribute to their caretaker, Tony Ralph, who retired this week after a long career.

“Keys jangling, a smile and a kind word for everyone, a mischievous grin and love of a practical joke with a willingness to help anyone who needed it.

“These are just some of the characteristics that Lucan Community College will miss about our long time caretaker Tony Ralph,” said the school.

“Tony brought a sense of fun to the workplace, enjoying a laugh and practical joke with his colleagues.

“He worked long hours, sometimes staying 14 hours in the college from opening time until the end of evening classes when he was the sole caretaker.

“Wishing Tony the best of good health and happiness in his retirement.”
