National school seeking permission for extension

BALLYFERMOT national school Mary Queen of Angels 1, is seeking planning permission for the construction of an extension at their Gurteen Road campus.

According to the planning application lodged with Dublin City Council, the development includes proposals for the construction of a new single-storey 570 sq m extension, to the east side of the existing school building.

The proposed extension will comprise of two new class-based special education needs (SEN) suite, two learning support rooms and all associated ancillary spaces and a principal’s office.

Plans also include alterations to the existing east façade on the school building, associated site, landscaping and drainage works, and the removal of an existing prefab block.

Last day for observations on the planning application is October 3.
