Tooth fairy makes special visit to baby Lily Belle

THE tooth fairy made a very special, and very early, visit to a Tallaght household recently - to collect the tooth of a 12-day old baby girl.

Little Lily Belle from Rossfield not only surprised her parents Emer and Karl and her four siblings by arriving seven weeks early but she was born with two baby teeth.

Speaking with The Echo, Lily Belle’s mam Emer Foley said that her baby girl was not due until March 22 but arrived on February 4 – with two bottom teeth.

“I had never even heard of [babies being born with teeth] but I found out after Lily Belle was born that a cousin of mine was also born with two teeth”, Emer said.

“Lily Belle’s first tooth fell out when she was just 12 days old and the second one was removed at Crumlin [Children’s] Hospital, it was a little bit wobbly.”

Emer said that Lily Belle will get her baby teeth as normal but she will not have teeth in the two bottom spots until her adult teeth grow.

Despite her early arrival and the excitement around the tooth fairy, Emer told The Echo that Lily Belle has settled in at home and is very content, “there’s not a bother on her”.
