
Two arrested and €300,000 in cash seized after searches in Clondalkin and Sandyford
Two men have been arrested after Gardai searched premises in Clondalkin and Sandyford and seized €300,000 in cash.
The searches were part of ongoing investigations targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin Region.
According to a Garda spokesperson, a planned search was carried out at an address in the Sandyford area of Dublin 18 on Thursday.
During this operation cash in excess of €300,000 was located and seized along with cash counting and packaging equipment.
A Garda spokesperson said: “A man in his 30s was arrested and is currently detained at Blackrock Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
“A number of follow up searches were conducted in the Clondalkin area and a second man in his 30s was also arrested and is currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.”
Investigations are ongoing.
