Woman forced to jump from top window of Tallaght home as fire rips through house
A woman was forced to jump from the top window of her Tallaght home last night after a fire ripped through the house just after 10pm.
The blaze at the dwelling in Cushlawn gutted the home, with the woman having to edge her way out of the window and then drop to the ground.
The woman was taken to Tallaght Hospital and was treated for injuries sustained from the fall and for smoke inhalation.
Four units from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene, as well as a senior fire officer, and the blaze was brought under control by 1am.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this point.
