Woman raped by taxi driver tells court it was her ‘worst nightmare’

A YOUNG woman who was raped by a Dublin taxi driver has said she was told getting a taxi was the “safest option” after a night out, but instead it turned out to be the “worst nightmare”, reports Eimear Dodd.

The Central Criminal Court on Monday heard victim impact statements written by the two young women who were raped in separate incidents by Raymond Shorten (50).
