40 new jobs will be created at new Liffey Valley American style restaurant

AMERICAN style bar and grill, Hogs and Heifers, has opened a new location in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, creating 40 new jobs.

The restaurant opened its doors in 2013 at its first location in Swords and is part of Dublin based hospitality group, The Wright Group.

CEO Michael Wright said: “We’re thrilled to have our second Hogs & Heifers location in Liffey Valley.

“Our food is very tasty and we’re proud to support local suppliers and use provenance in many of our dishes. We are looking forward to welcoming families, locals, and visitors of Liffey Valley through our doors.”

The opening night was attended by professional golfer Philip Walton and the Mayor of South Dublin Emma Murphy.

The restaurant, along with its popular burgers, serves classics such as Wrights fish and chips, nachos, wings, ribs, desserts and milkshakes and has a full range of cocktails, wines, and beers.

Hogs and Heifers bills itself as suitable for any occasion from a casual meal with family to watching sports with friends.

The new restaurant is eyeing up people with a big appetite by putting on a special food challenge.

The ‘Man v Hogs’ contest is one for the fans of professional eating. Consisting of six patties, fries and a pint, all of which need to be consumed in 45 minutes.

Those up for the challenge, and able to finish it within the allotted time frame, will get the entire meal on the house.
