70 households experience power outage after overhead ESB wires fall on road

A TOTAL of 70 households in Ballyfermot experienced a power outage in the early hours of Wednesday morning due to fallen overhead wires.

A total of 50 customers on Decies Road were affected by an outage that was reported just after 1am, while 20 households on Ballyneety Road were affected by an outage reported just before 3am.

As of Wednesday morning, the ESB estimated that power would be restored to the properties later that day, by 4pm.

“We apologise for the loss of supply,” stated the ESB in a post on its website. “We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
