900 attend Ballyboden GAA Club’s Broadway Challenge fundraiser

Nearly 900 people descended on Citywest Hotel for Ballyboden St Enda’s GAA Club excellent presentation of “The Broadway Challenge” which was this year's signature club fundraising event.

Over 60 club members and a good few non members performed excerpts from Grease, Mowtown, Hairspray, All Shook Up, Mama Mia, Jersey Boys and Blues Brothers in a highly competitive but thoroughly enjoyable evening.

It may not have been West End, but, everyone leaving the venue had nothing but positive comments to make about the overall production. 

Following much deliberation within the judging panel and factoring in the public voting on the night and online the deserving winners were the Hairspray team lead by Ciara Healy, who, in her final few words reminded everyone why they were there and also remembered the dear departed club member Gerry Hogan,

“Well done to all participants, organisers and supporters, it is only through your ongoing dedication and commitment that events of this standard are possible,” said Ballyboden PRO Sinead Ryan.

“We would like to wish Jack Nolan and his team every success in next weeks Golf Classic in Edmondstown Golf Club.”
