A taste of Spain at the Old Orchard on Butterfield Ave

THE CHAWKE Group recently launched their new Wine & Tapas bar at The Old Orchard in Rathfarnham – treating guests on opening night to an evening of live Spanish music and a complimentary tasting of the new tapas menu with sangria.
The newly renovated all-weather terrace has doubled the capacity of the restaurant, which is located on Butterfield Avenue.

To complement the expansion, The Old Orchard’s Head Chef Darren Raethorne devised a new tapas menu, which includes a wide range of mini sharing dishes using locally sourced produce.
The group say the Wine & Tapas bar offers guests an authentic Spanish dining experience, and includes dishes such as Paella, Jamon Iberico, Gambas and Calamari.
The Wine & Tapas Bar is open Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 11pm, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm to 11pm.
Last month, the group introduced their first exclusive beer in honour of founder Bill Chawke, who opened their first pub in Adare in 1959.
To mark the 60th anniversary, customers can now buy Bill Chawke’s Legacy Lager, which is gluten-free.
Chawke Group pubs include well known haunts such as The Lord Lucan, The Dropping Well, The Goat Grill, Searsons of Baggot Street, and The Bank on College Green.
