A FAIRY obsessed girl had a magical experience when she got to visit the Irish Fairy Door HQ recently, after winning a competition that The Echo ran just before Christmas to win the spellbinding prize, reports Aideen O’Flaherty.

Abigail Eagers, 6, from Castletymon in Tallaght, her brother Olan, 4, and mother Lasra Long, all visited the HQ and met Fairy Clodagh.

The special guests got a tour around the Irish Fairy Door HQ, where the children got to see all manner of fairy doors and the wonderous places where the fairies live.

Lasra told The Echo: “The kids had a great day, and Abigail was delighted when she won – she’s fairy obsessed. She’s really into the magic of fairies.

“The kids had so much fun, they got to see the worry plaque and they saw the story time area too.

“This weekend will be spent colouring in the fairy doors that they got during their visit.”

The Irish Fairy Door Company was founded by childhood friends Niamh Sherwin Barry and her husband Oisin, and Aoife Lawler and her husband Gavin, in 2013.

Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength with orders coming from all over the world, and the company’s magical fairy doors even featured in a Snapchat story posted by Californian socialite and reality TV star, Kourtney Kardashian.
