Tallaght Court June 2016

The court heard it will be alleged that on June 21, 2015, the alleged victim had called into Tallaght Garda Station to report that she had been sexually assaulted.

On the previous night, the alleged victim and the accused had been at a party in a pub.

After the party it will be alleged that a group of people had gone to the accused’s house where they continued the celebrations.

The injured party went to bed fully clothed and at 6.15am the next morning morning, the accused allegedly got into the bed and started to put his hand up her skirt and touch her private parts between her legs.

The court had previously refused jurisdiction.

The man who has an address in Tallaght, is charged with sexually assaulting a female at his address on June 21, 2015.

A solicitor for the DPP told Judge Lindsay that the book was ready to be served. She said the DPP had consented for the man to be sent forward for trial to the present sitting of Dublin Circuit Court.

The man was represented by his solicitor, Michael Hennessy.

Judge Lindsay sent the man forward on bail to the present sitting of the Circuit Court.
