ADDITIONAL information is being sought in relation to a planning permission application for 133 dwellings and a crèche located south of Oldcourt Cottages and north of the ESB wires in the townland of Bohernabreena, Oldcourt and Ballycullen.

Capami Ltd submitted the application for planning permission for the proposed development on a site of 4.64 hectares in April.

The proposed development will be comprised of three four-bed, two-storey detached houses, 90 three and four-bed, two-storey semi-detached houses and 27 three-bed, two-storey terraced houses.

It is also proposed that there will be six three-bed duplexes with three two- and three-bed duplex apartments in a three-storey building, and four two-bed apartments over two floors, and a two-storey 423 sq. m crèche.

It’s proposed that access to the development will be via an adjoining residential development known as Dodderbrook, which is accessed from Oldcourt Road.

South Dublin County Council have requested additional information about the proposed development in relation to a number of items.

These include the submission of revised sightline drawings for all proposed junctions as part of the development and a revised layout that contains traffic calming measures.

There have been a number of third party submissions on the application, including an objection to the application by the Oldcourt Cottages and Ely Community on a number of grounds, including the potential flood risk and the impact on visual amenity.

The applicant has six months to submit the requested additional information.
