Allegedly stole six bottles of McArdles

A MAN allegedly broke into Dunnes Stores in Saggart through the roof and stole six bottles of McArdles ale, Blanchardstown District Court has heard.

Thomas Newman appeared on bail before Judge David McHugh.

blanchardstown courthouseNewman, aged 40, with an address at Meadows Grove, Lucan, is charged with the burglary of alcohol worth €10 from Dunnes Stores, Slade Castle, Saggart, on July 8, 2018.

Sergeant Geraldine McManigan told Judge McHugh that it will be alleged that at 1am on July 8 last, Newman got into Dunnes Stores in Saggart through the roof and took six bottles of McArdles Ale.

Newman’s defence lawyer, Terry Hanahoe, asked the judge to make an order for CCTV disclosure.

Judge McHugh remanded Newman on continuing bail to a date in October for disclosure.
