An Cosán is the perfect starting point for adults returning to education
An Cosán community education centre in Jobstown is now accepting applications for its Further Education courses starting in September.
An Cosán is the perfect starting point for adults returning to education. Its courses are designed to support adult learners to gain the skills and confidence needed to progress in both their education and work.
Most Further Education graduates go on to secure a better job, or progress to Higher Education through one of An Cosán’s BA degree programmes, which are accredited by South East Technological University.
All of An Cosán’s part-time morning and evening Further Education courses take place in An Cosán’s community education centre in Kiltalown Village Centre, Jobstown, Tallaght. However, learners on An Cosán’s WorkAbility programmes also have the option to attend a local hub in Ballyfermot, Dublin 8, Sligo or Wexford.
Many Further Education programmes are free of charge, thanks to sponsorship by DDLETB, Rethink Ireland, and Macquaire.
Further Education courses currently being offered by An Cosán include Community Care, Community Development, Early Learning and Care, Business Administration with Digital Skills for Work, WorkAbility (Business Administration with Digital Skills for Work and Career Coaching), Women in Leadership, and Community Care for Work.
The friendly team at An Cosán welcomes people from all backgrounds and nationalities, including early school leavers, parents, migrants, and those returning to education after a long break.
An Cosán offers additional supports, including free early years’ education and care, IT support, laptop loans, parenting support, financial supports, and one-to-one tutoring and mentoring. Learners can also avail of An Cosán’s counselling service.
No matter which course a learner signs up to, they develop skills and confidence to enable them to look forward to a brighter future!
