Doherty, aged 41, with an address at Kilclare Crescent, Tallaght, is charged with robbing €520 in cash from a staff member at Maxol Filling Station, Newcastle Road, Lucan, on March 31, 2017.

The court had heard it will be alleged that at 9.10pm on March 31, 2017, Doherty entered the Maxol station wearing a balaclava and waving a hammer.

Doherty allegedly threatened the staff member with a hammer and made off with €520 in cash.

Doherty was before Judge McHugh for service of his book of evidence.

Sergeant Maria Callaghan said the book was not ready.

Judge McHugh remanded Doherty on continuing bail for a month for service of the book of evidence.
