Ballyfermot lads delivering for Ireland

BALLYFERMOT lads Lorcan Byrne and Thomas Caulfield have been performing well for the Ireland Floorball 2 Team at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria.

The latter recovered from an injury he picked up in their loss to Azerbaijan to hit a sublime score from the half-way line in their narrow 4-3 defeat at the hands of Germany.

Byrne registered a tremendous hat-trick in another narrow 4-3 loss to Austria before he did it again against the Ivory Coast.

His early brace propelled them 2-0 in front only to see the African nation battle back on to level terms in the second half.

But Byrne was not done yet and produced a stunning winner with just 14 seconds remaining.
