Bloggers from Tallaght and Rathfarnham were honoured at the recent V by VERY Blog Awards Ireland.
The awards were held in the Academy venue in Dublin on Friday night, with over 400 celebrated Irish bloggers attending.
Cork dancing duo Lords of Strut hosted the event, and guests were invited to come dressed as their favourite Hollywood icon.
The sixth annual awards had an immense 5,000 submissions this year, with 1,200 blogs making the longlist.
The judging included three rounds; the first two, which were voted by the public and the final round was judged by journalism and PR professionals.
Tanya O’Halloran from Tallaght beat out hundreds of entries and took home the award for Best Food and Drink Blog.
Her blog, The Tiny Vegan Kitchen, shares recipes and photographs of the mouth-watering vegan dishes that the fashion and homewares designer cooks up in her kitchen at home.
Staff at the Ballyroan Library in Rathfarnham were also honoured for their blog, Ballyroan Reads.
The blog was created in 2016 by library staff who review their books, announce new releases and choose weekly “brilliant book titles”.
Ballyroan Reads previously won the Bronze Award for Best Arts & Culture Blog in 2016, but this year they took home the top award in the Best Books & Literature Blog – Commercial category.
