BMA haul home honours
BMA Clondalkin fielded a record number of participants at this year's annual TMA Open, which was held in the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown on Sunday.
In total there were 24 athletes competing for the Clondalkin club who finished second to hosts Tallaght Martial Arts in the medal table with eight gold, eight silver and eight runner-up positions.

The Wade siblings were again in top form with 12-year-old Amy taking two golds, 10-year-old brother Ryan carding two runner-up spots and the youngest of the three, 7-year-old Abbie taking home a gold in the Girls Under 8 Light Contact division.
Newly-joined brothers Remi and Alex Galichean made their debut on the competitive circuit with the 14-year-old Alex securing first place in the Boys Under 14 Point Fighting and Light Continuous categories.
Younger brother, Remi also made an impressive start reaching the finals of the Under 14 Point Fighting class, but he could not make it past his older sibling.
Ben Mahony King was equally as impressive with double gold in Points and Light Continuous while Alex Strachota reached two finals in Point Fighting and Light Continuous categories, emerging runner-up on both counts.
Nine-year-old Roan Derwin was unlucky not to reach the finals as he was pipped by a solitary point in the semi finals of the Boys Under 9 Point Fighting field.
Kim Fitzgerald returned to the competitive scene after a long absence and finished with a silver in the Points and bronze in the Light Continuous.
Nine-year-old Yusuf Kanafunzi also took home bronze medals in the Boys Under 9 Point Fighting and Light contact divisions.
One of the youngest competitors, Eight-year-old Michael Siry reached the final in his second only outing for the Clondalkin club and lost by a single point in the final few seconds.
Bushido’s only senior competitor on the day, Jennifer Mullins reached the finals of the Ladies Point Fighting division but lost out in the single round bout.
Fourteen-year-old Ryan Manning also made his debut for the Clondalkin club and reached the semi finals where he was pipped by a couple of points.
Bek Sukarov was another bronze medal winner in the Boys Under 15 Points with Zach Lamari following suit in the Light Continuous Under 15 category.
